Qualifications held with the person
Only a handful of people know who is skilled and allowed to do what.
Rail Skills holds qualifications, qualification categories and qualification levels for each employee. The related evidence is attached to the person’s record.
- Qualification-related documents are assigned to the person rather than filed in a folder.
- Route and location knowledge is recorded as well and is available for planning.
Deadlines do not expire unnoticed
Expired deadlines come to light on the day of the assignment.
Deadline monitoring tracks expiring deadlines and makes them visible before they prevent an assignment. Who needs retraining and when is held in the system rather than in one person’s calendar.
- For each function, the required qualifications and their validity dates are held in the system.
- The overview covers all employees, not just individual areas.
Certificates straight from the system
Certificates are produced by hand.
Supplementary certificates and certificates are produced from the stored data, for example under the German railway aptitude and examination regulation. The details come from the same record that is used for planning.
- Certificates are based on the qualifications maintained in the system, not on a second list.
- Changes to qualifications take effect in the evidence immediately.
