Rail Engineering
Technical specifications, maintenance programmes and checklists per vehicle and component series. The basis on which workshop and asset management work.
For maintenance engineers and everyone who develops and maintains maintenance specifications.
The technical dossier in one place
Technical specifications sit in files and in people’s heads.
Everything that has to be done on a vehicle or component series is held in Rail Engineering: component structures, maintenance types and strategies, work steps, checklists, bills of materials, fault catalogues, required qualifications and tools. What is held there applies to every vehicle in the series throughout its life and meets the requirements of the ECM regulation.
- Engineering and maintenance work on one shared data foundation instead of maintaining information separately.
- Technical vehicle data is provided automatically instead of being transferred by hand.
Maintenance to specification
Experience from the workshop does not change the specifications.
How a series behaves in operation feeds back into its maintenance specifications. Trials, conversions and modifications are recorded in detail and are available for the next decision.
- Vehicle monitoring is system-supported instead of relying on manual individual analyses.
- Maintenance specifications are optimised continuously instead of being revised periodically.
Traceable down to the version
Nobody knows exactly which version applied.
Checklists are created in the checklist editor; checklists and maintenance instructions are version-controlled. Fault catalogues define how damage is named consistently.
- Which version of a specification applied can be traced at any time.
- Transactional data is analysed at series level where Rail Asset and Rail Workshop are in use.
Works together with
Rail Engineering (ECM II) delivers most value in combination with the other modules. All modules work on the same data foundation.
Good to know
- The underlying processes follow current standards and regulations and are kept up to date.
- In the office in the browser, in the field as an app for Android and iOS. Operated in your own data centre (on-premise) or in the cloud, German and English as standard.
