The digital vehicle file
A vehicle’s history sits in several folders.
The vehicle file holds what has happened to a vehicle: technical data, components fitted and removed, releases, mileage and costs. Every event that maintenance needs or the ECM regulation requires is recorded there instead of in a folder.
- Technical releases, checklists and reports are transferred into the vehicle file instead of being stored separately.
- Usage restrictions are held with the vehicle and are therefore visible in every planning activity.
Availability at a glance
The state of the fleet only becomes clear when something fails.
Mileage, operating hours and condition data come together per vehicle and component, from the ERP system as well as from wheelset measurements, counter readings and fault reports. The next maintenance dates follow from this, calculated against manufacturer requirements and the defined maintenance strategy.
- Dashboards show fleet availability, technical status and open maintenance stops, arranged to suit the organisation.
- Key figures such as maintenance stop duration, mean time between failure and mean time to repair come out of day-to-day operation, not out of a separate evaluation.
Planning and ordering workshop stops
The scope of work is pieced together again before every stop.
The workshop stop is planned out of deployment planning and maintenance requirements, not once a date becomes urgent. The system proposes suitable certified workshops and checks the choice made.
- Several vehicles can be planned and ordered together within one stop.
- Workshop correspondence and subsequent changes to the order are documented without gaps.
